Educational Objectives

The scope of law is increasingly expanding in this rapidly changing and developing society of ours. And, the demand for legal experts who can effectively manage and use laws to adapt to societal changes will continue to increase. To satisfy this demand, the Division of Law trains students to become democratic citizens and creative legal professionals by offering fundamental and advanced law courses which cover areas of laws for international trade, international contracts, international economy and intellectual property rights. Most importantly, the Division is focused on produce legal and regulatory experts who can contribute to the development of our IT-centered society.

Majors and Studies

The Law Division not only made the courses which were originally offered in different departments, into more in-depth courses but it offers students the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and career path by exploring various others academic disciplines.
Divided into General Law Major, International Law Major, and Science and Technology Law Major, the Division offers curriculums which are appropriate for each major and encourages the students to choose a program that fits them the best by allowing them to take whichever courses they find important.

The International Law Program offers a curriculum on international contract, international trade and trade dispute and aims to produce international law experts greatly demanded in our society which is becoming increasingly more global, especially more due to the United States–Korea Free Trade Agreement.
Rapid development of sciences and technologies is have great impact on our economy, society and politics. As a result, the number of new legal problems is continuously growing but currently, there is simply not enough workforce to handle these legal issues. The Science & Technology Law Major is focused on producing skilled legal professionals specializing in science and technological laws in this society where technology determines national competitiveness and society where nations fiercely compete for technological development.
