The research team led by Professor JiHoon Lee of the Department of Electronic Engineering at Kwangwoon University, together with the researcher of the Department of Electronic Engineering Shu Senrin (first author), succeeded in developing a 'Hybrid UV (ultraviolet) photodetector integrated with gold-platinum core-shell nanoparticles (AuPt alloy hybrid nanoparticles (AHNPs), graphene QD and Zinc Oxide Quantum Dots (ZnO QDs) based on metasurface plasmon particles.

This research was carried out with the support of the National Research Foundation of Korea, BK-21 promoted by the Ministry of Education, Key Research Institute, and Kwangwoon University. Research results are published in scientific journals ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (JCR Q1 IF: 10.38) and the online version with the title Hybrid UV Photodetector Design Incorporating AuPt Alloy Hybrid Nanoparticles, ZnO Quantum Dots, and Graphene Quantum Dots.
