2024 Kwangwoon University Advertisement, 'Become the Face of the Kwangwoon Effect!'

 

The Public Relations Team of the Office of External and International Affairs has created a prototype advertisements to be used for promoting the 2024 and 2025 admissions.

  

Three types of advertisements were produced: 'Kwangwoon University: Dreaming of a New Century,' 'Kwangwoon University: A Hub of Advanced Studies,' and 'Become the Face of the Kwangwoon Effect.'

The first advertisement, 'Kwangwoon University: Dreaming of a New Century,' reflects the university’s preparation for the next 100 years as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. The advertisement copy briefly outlines the significance of Kwangwoon University's symbol, 'Bima.' It explains how Kwangwoon, which began as the Joseon Wireless Technical Institute in 1934 and introduced Korea's first Electronic Engineering major, has pioneered a new era in the nation's information and communication technology. The winged 'Bima' symbolizes the advancement of wireless communication.

The second advertisement, 'Kwangwoon University: A Hub of Advanced Studies,' uses a semiconductor image combined with the university's emblem to highlight Kwangwoon's strengths in AI-based fields such as semiconductors, robotics, and big data, symbolizing the bright future of Kwangwoon students.

The third advertisement, 'Become the Face of the Kwangwoon Effect,' conveys the idea that the small flutter of a butterfly’s wings can lead to a powerful storm that changes the world, symbolizing this as the 'Kwangwoon Effect, Butterfly Effect.' The featured models are Myungjin Lee, captain of Kwangwoon University's robot game team, RO:BIT (17th generation, School of Robotics ‘22), and Sooyoung Jo, president of Bimarang and PR ambassador (23rd generation, Division of International Studies ‘23). Their participation embodies the passion and spirit of Kwangwoon students.

  

Jaehyun Han, Director of the Office of External and International Affairs, who planned the advertisement, stated, "This year's Kwangwoon University advertisements are the product of considerable thought, aimed at showcasing the university's strengths in the most effective way. Through this advertisement, we will not only actively promote the school but also engage in various activities that inspire pride among our Kwangwoon community.
