The research team of Professor Tae-jun Ha(Department of Electronic Materials Engineering) synthesized a metal-organic framework (MOF) combined with carbon quantum dots (CQD) using natural materials and succeeded in developing an electrochemical catalyst capable of electrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER), which enable electrolysis and carbon dioxide reduction. The research results were published in Carbon (IF: 10.9, JCR ranking top 11.2%), a top international academic journal in the field of materials science, published by Elsevier under the title 'Bifunctional carbon quantum dot-embedded metal-organic framework nanohybrid as a highly efficient electrocatalyst for water splitting and CO2 reduction.(Referencehttps://doi.org/10.1016/j.carbon.2023.118527)
