The Gangbuk-gu Youth Counseling Welfare Center (Gangbuk-gu Support Center for Out-of-School Youth), which is an entrusted operating organization of Kwangwoon University, conducted both online and offline last August. The event was hosted by Gangbuk-gu Youth Counseling Welfare Center, Nowon-gu, Dobong-gu, and Jungnang-gu Kdream Together, with the participation of Kwangwoon University Admissions Office and the University Future Research Center.

" The College Admission information sessions for the out-of-school youth " was held at the Seoul Community Media Foundation and covered information about the current status of Kwangwoon University admission and the college admissions for the out-of-school youth. A total of 337 participants, including the Support Center for Out-of-School Youth and officials from Gangbuk-gu, Nowon-gu, Dobong-gu, and Jungnang-gu, participated online and offline.

Lee Hye-young, Dean of the Graduate School of Counseling Welfare Policy, said, "We support young people who grow through various experiences and hope that they can fulfill their passions and dreams by using university life as an opportunity," and added, "I hope this information session can help them unfold their future dreams."

The event began with an introduction to the university departments and admission procedures by Kwangwoon University's admissions office, followed by a presentation by the University Future Research Center (Director Son Dae-sung) on understanding admission terminology, using the website for admission information, admission application submission, the results of the 2023 admissions, and admission guidelines for the 2024 academic year, through online and offline interaction.

Meanwhile, the College Entrance Information Session, which marks its third year this year, provides admission information to many out-of-school youths, strengthening their motivation to go to college and providing them with a platform to develop a college entrance strategy that suits their career goals. The lectures can be rewatched on YouTube through the "Gangbuk-gu Youth Counseling Welfare Center" channel.
