Recruitment of Korean Tutors for 『Korean Tutoring for International Students』 

1. Program Overview: To provide international students with assistance from Korean students to improve international students’ Korean language skills.

2. Eligibility: Korean students currently enrolled at Kwangwoon University

   1. Prioritized selection of applicants majoring in the same or similar fields as international students (tutees) and those in their 2nd to 4th year students in undergraduate programs.

   2. Pre-training: After the tutor selection, educational materials will be distributed, and instructions will be provided through a group chat room.

3. How it works:

   1) Period: September 25^th, 2023 (Mon) ~ December 22^nd, 2023 (Fri)

   2) Tutoring activities conducted 1-2 times a week, at least 1 hour and up to 2 hours per session.

   ※One activity cannot exceed a maximum of 2 hours

   3) Tutors and tutees can decide the time and place to meet. Online tutoring sessions using SNS/Webex/Zoom etc. is also possible.

   4) After each tutoring session, tutors are required to write a tutoring report.

   5) Tutoring overview: To provide various help for  international students  who are taking Korean language courses by for reviewing and practicing textbooks  and for international students to overcome difficulties due to lack of Korean language skills  in major or general education courses.

4. Tutoring allowance: 15,000 won per hour (maximum 16 hours * 15,000 won = 240,000 won)

3) Limit of participants: About 16 people

       ※ Tutors and tutees are matched based on their departments, motivation to apply  and grades in the previous semester. Priority will be given to tutors in their 2nd to 4th years of undergraduate programs.

       ※ If the number of international student applicants is low, the number of selected participants may be reduced.
