Kwangwoon University Holds Group Skating Lesson for World Scout Jamboree Participants

Kwangwoon University hosted the 25th World Scout Jamboree's skating workshop with global attention on the university ice rink on August 10^th. In accordance with this, approximately 200 young scouts from the Czech Republic and Venezuela received skating lessons at the ice rink in the afternoon.

The university's President Jongheon Kim, who supported the event, welcomed the visit of the Jamboree members to Kwangwoon University. He expressed his hope that their experience at the Kwangwoon University ice rink would become a fond memory of Korea and the university, and he wished for their safety and health until the day they return.

Jamboree participant Jaroslav Karaskova, originally from the Czech Republic, shared, 'Experiencing skating on an ice rink during the hot summer was an amazing experience. Through the enjoyable and interesting experiences in Korea, including the one at Kwangwoon University, I am learning many things.'

The World Scout Jamboree is the world's largest youth international event, where young scouts and leaders participate in various programs to promote cultural exchange and friendship, contributing to the growth of youth as global citizens. Kwangwoon University, with its ice rink facility, supported this skating workshop by providing the venue and instructors.
