2022 Fall Semester Compulsory Course for International Students (Korean Laws) Fifth Round

 

Important notice

With the 2023 International Education Quality Assurance System (IEQAS), all undergraduate and graduate degree program international students are obliged to choose between online and offline lectures according to the guide below. During the first, second, third & fourth rounds, only about 46% of students completed the course. All 54% remaining students are obliged to complete the course in the fifth round.

 

1. Background and Purpose

- The IEQAS evaluation index for 2023 will include the completion of Korean Laws Education (Passing criteria: once per semester/60% completion rate) Students must complete this course every semester.

- Prepare for 2023 IEQAS and prevent crimes against international students.

 

2. Participants

- Degree program international students (undergraduate, graduate), who did not complete the course during the first, second, third and fourth rounds.

If you received an email or a message, it means you still have not completed the course and must complete it in the fifth round!

 

3. Educational Content

Online / Offline lectures Crime Prevention Education for Foreigners provided by the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the Korean National Police Agency

Contents of lectures: Domestic violence, child abuse, sexual violence, digital crime, fraud (voice phishing), traffic crime, gambling, drugs, exemption from notification of undocumented immigrants, and others.

 

4. Methods: Select online or offline course

      A. Online course (Students who previously encountered errors can watch the lecture)

- Period: 2023/01/18(Wed) ~ 2023/02/05(Sun)

- KWMOOC site: https://kwmooc.kw.ac.kr/en

Content: Choose a desired language and register for the video “언어별 2022 2학기 한국법령 이해교육 동영상” (Educational video for understanding Korean laws for the second semester of 2022)" uploaded on the KWMOOC site.

* To apply for the online course, refer to the attached  file (On-line)2022-2학기 한국법령 이해 교육 매뉴얼(manual) 

B. Offline course

- Venue: Donghae Art Center Building, Room 111, visit and request training.

- Date & time: 2023/01/18 (Wed) ~ 2023/02/03(Fri) 13:30 ~ 15:30

Before visiting, make sure to call 02-940-5014 & confirm if the person in charge is available.

 

5. Additional Information

- Watching the video Crime Prevention Education for Foreigners is considered a completed education on preventing sexual violence and understanding Korean laws.
