Kwangwoon University Intrigic Team 'Student Entrepreneurship Team 300' Wins Minister of Education Award at Industry-University Cooperation EXPO 2022

A commendation ceremony was held for Kwangwoon University’s Intrigic Team, the team won the Minister of Education Award, the highest award at the ‘2022 Industry-University Cooperation EXPO Student Entrepreneurship Team 300 Growth Track product exhibition on last December at Kwangwoon University 

 

The 2022 Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO Product Exhibition was held from November 2nd to 4th, a total of 40 teams competed and achieved the best result as a single school team. The students Park So-young (Department of Industrial Psychology), Kim Seung Ryul (Department of Electronic Materials Engineering), Park Joo-eon (Department of Electronic Materials Engineering) participated in the ‘Intrigic team’.

 

The 2022 Student Entrepreneurship Prospective Team 300, hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation applies for “Growth Track,” “Leaping Track,” and “Education Track” for the “Startup Promising Team 300,” which focuses on entrepreneurship education by growth stage, to discover and nurture entrepreneurial talents equipped with entrepreneurial spirit. It was conducted over a period of 7 months from May to November 2022. 450 teams were selected through document evaluation, 300 teams were selected through presentation evaluation, and mentoring was conducted & 60 teams were selected for the Industry-University Cooperation EXPO exhibition.

 

Park So-young, team leader of ‘Intrigic Team’ (Department of Industrial Psychology) said, “This award was helpful because I strengthened my capabilities step by step by completing entrepreneurship programs according to the school's entrepreneurship education roadmap. In particular, our university's customized entrepreneurship course, which I took while completing the Startup Convergence Major, was a great help in winning this award.”

 

Park Chul-hwan, head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Team who is in charge of startup support as the startup control tower of Kwangwoon University said, “Our start-up education has been advancing the start-up roadmap for the past 10 years, recognizing that the best education is to let students experience start-ups, and more actively through various start-up education programs and start-up-friendly undergraduate programs, all students can directly and indirectly experience startups.”

 

President Jongheon Kim said, “Kwangwoon university is creating an entire campus as a start-up ecosystem, the university ranked 5th in the national university in 2021 and 7th in the national university in 2022 in the student startup support and performance section of the JoongAng Ilbo University Evaluation, “We are concentrating all our capabilities on fostering entrepreneurship.”

 

Meanwhile, the students from ‘Practical team’ Kang Yeon-gu, Jiyong Park, Seojun, Yoo Hae-chan of Department of Computer Information Engineering & ‘The Safe Company Team’ Taegeun Lee of Department of Information Contents were selected for the growth track of the Student Entrepreneurship Team 300 Contest and participated in the Industry-University Cooperation EXPO.
