2022 International Counseling Psychology Seminar Professor Park Kyungae's Presentation (Kwangwoon University Graduate School of Education)

Professor Park Kyungae of Kwangwoon University Graduate School of Education was invited as a representative speaker of Korea at the “2022 International Counseling Psychology Seminar” held at Seoul Cyber University under the theme of "Application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in Psychological Counseling in Korea, Sweden, and USA”. Professor Park Kyungae presented on the topic “Aid of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Traces of Application of REBT: Focusing on Counseling in Korea” & Professor Per Carbring of Stockholm University, Sweden presented on the topic “The Application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy using the Internet”. Furthermore, Professor Michael Lewin of California State University presented on topic “Contemporary CBT: A Balance of Acceptance and Change Strategies” via zoom seminar.

In the 21st century, the most widely used counseling and psychotherapy theory in science-developed countries is the evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy theory. In this seminar, where both Zoom and on-site participation were combined, the seminar was successfully concluded with enthusiastic discussions and opinions with many participants.
