Kwangwoon University Professor Taek Lee’s (Department of Chemical Engineering) research team member Hanbin Park (2nd semester of master's course) participated in the ‘2022 Autumn Conference and Education Symposium’ that was held on September 28 to 30, 2022. With their research topic “Rapid electrochemical biosensor composed of truncated DNA aptamers of interdigitate electrode to detect dengue virus in clinical sample” she was selected for the student e-poster & short-speech and received an excellent academic award in recognition of her research achievements.

The Korean Society of Biomaterials is an academic society that shares global knowledge with 3,400 researchers from domestic and foreign companies, universities, research institutes, and hospitals and clinics to develop various biomedical biomaterials to treat human diseases and improve the quality of life. Last year, ‘Biomaterials Research’, an academic journal of the Korean Biomaterials Society, achieved the feat of being listed on the SCIE (IF=15.46), and in the upcoming 2024, the 12th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC 2024) Daegu convention is about to be held.

Professor Lee Taek's research team has been honored with steady awards at various societies (2021 Fall Conference of the Korean Society for Biomaterials (2 cases), 2021 Fall Conference for the Korean Society of Industrial Chemistry, 2022 Spring Conference for the Korean Society for Biomaterials, 2022 Korea Biochip Society). This research team has a promising future. As for Professor Taek Lee, since he joined Kwangwoon University in 2017, he has been actively conducting research in the fields of biosensors, in vitro diagnostic medical devices, new drug development, drug delivery, and biomedical fields. He has published about 130 papers in leading overseas SCI journals.
