31st Seoul Global Internship 

 

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is recruiting international student interns to broaden their understanding of Korean society and organizational culture by providing them with an opportunity to work as interns in each department, subsidiary, and general company in Seoul, and to help participants develop their careers and improve employment as follows:

 

 1. Overview

 

A. Internship period: 2023.1.2(Mon) - 2.17(Fri) [7 weeks, 35 days]

 

B. Recruitment: 25 people

 

 Public sector (13 departments including city headquarters, business offices, and foundations): 19 people

 

 Private sector (4 companies): 6 people 

 The actual number of people assigned may change depending on the selection results, etc.

 

C. Working hours: 5 days a week, 6 hours a day (09:00-16:00 including 1 hour lunch time) 

 Working hours can be changed depending on the circumstances of the placement agency etc.

 

D. Work details: Overseas marketing, interpretation, translation (consultation), international business support, etc.

A.   Qualifications and requirements  Those who do not meet the qualification requirements as of November 4, 2022, cannot apply

Required

1.  Those who are currently enrolled in a university in Seoul (undergraduate/master/doctoral course)

·                           undergraduate students can apply from the 5th semester

·                           master's and doctoral programs from the 3rd semester

Students on leave of absence cannot apply

2.  D-2 student visa holders whose period of stay in Korea is valid until February 28, 2023

3. Those with TOPIK level 4~6 (valid certificate, aka. no longer than 2 years since issuance)

4. Those who have no grounds for disqualification in issuing a part-time work permit

 After final acceptance, a part-time work permit must be issued and submitted at the immigration office.

Computer literacy certificate, language skills certificate, etc.

 C. Additional Information

 Intern activity allowance (52,320 won per day, lunch cost 5,000 won, weekly vacation allowance (if full time))

Industrial accident insurance subscription Seoul city collective subscription

Submission of internship activity plan and result report

Internship completion certificate (in the name of the mayor of Seoul, if worked more than 80%)

D. Documents to submit

 

  Only those who pass the document screening (x2-3 times the number of individuals to be recruited) are required to submit the required documents. The application will be canceled for those who do not submit the required documents or those whose content of the application form does not match the content of their documents.

4. Proof of Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) (copy, valid certificate)

Computer literacy certificate, certificate of language proficiency other than Korean, other supporting documents and certificates, etc.

 The submission period and method of submission will be sent individually to those who pass the document screening stage.

 

 

4. Selection Process

 

A. 1st Document screening

 

 Selection criteria: Relevance to the requirements of recruiting organizations (language, etc.), TOPIK score, academic record, etc.

 

 Selection number: 2-3 times the number of individuals that will be recruited in each institution

 

 Announcement of Results: 2022.11.15 (Fri) Individual information on the scheduled interview

 All candidates (passed/failed) will be informed of individual evaluation results through email

 

B. 2nd Interview

 

 Selection criteria: Understanding and appropriateness of the job content of the recruiting agency, communication skills, etc.

 

 Number of people to be hired: Refer to Attachment

 

 Selection method: Individual interview (interview at the recruiting agency during the interview period) 

 Interview scheduled date: 11.28(Mon)-12.2(Fri) (will be announced later)

 

C. Announcement of finalists: December 2022 (will be announced later) 

 All candidates (passed/failed) will be guided individually, and if there are no eligible candidates, selection may not be made.
