along with out-of-school youth support centers in Gangbuk-gu, Dobong-gu, and Jungnang-gu -

Gangbuk-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center (Gangbuk-gu Out-of-School Youth Support Center), a consignment institution of Kwangwoon University’s Graduate School of Counseling and Welfare Policy, hosted the “University Admission Information Meeting for Out-of-School Youth”. It was held in collaboration with Dream Dream in Dobong-gu and Jungnang-gu and participated by Kwangwoon University Admissions Office and University Future Research Institute on August 11 (Thursday) online and offline.

 

Out-of-School Youth University Admissions Information Meeting” was held at the Seoul Viewers Media Center. This meeting explained how to apply for Kwangwoon University and the college entrance exam for out-of-school youth. Around 30 people participated offline and 119 online. Among participants, there were students, including out-of-school youth, parents, and practitioners from Gangbuk-gu, Dobong-gu, and Jungnang-gu.

 

The event introduced Kwangwoon University’s department, explained this year’s entrance exam, and delivered the admissions method for out-of-school youth, followed by the University Future Research Institute’s information on admission terms and use of the website admission information, acceptance of the application form, admission results for the 2022 academic year and the admission guidelines for the 2023 academic year.

 

Hyeyoung Lee, dean of the Graduate School of Counseling and Welfare Policy, gave a congratulatory speech to the participating youths, saying, “If you set your mind and work hard, good opportunities will appear. It is a fact that if you follow the opportunity, your dreams will come true. I hope it will be a precious time for you to take one step at a time towards your dream.”

 

This admission presentation was held for the second time following the previous year. Out-of-school youths were provided with a variety of entrance exam information to help them establish a college entrance strategy that suits their career path by reinforcing their motivation for college entrance.
