Industry-Academic Cooperation Business Meeting

On May 19th, Kwangwoon University held a business meeting with Yozma Group Korea and Israel's Weizmann Institute of Science. The meeting’s discussion was about science and technology consulting, technology transfer vitalization, and business start-up revitalization.

 

The purpose of this cooperation is to create a high-value knowledge and technology exchange. It is planned to prepare various cooperative measures related to technology consulting and technology transfer. The meeting was attended by Cho Sunyoung, Chairman of Kwangwoon Academy, Kim Jongheon, President of Kwangwoon University, Kim Jaeyo, Director of Planning, Park Cheolhwan, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperation Group, Shin Jaeho, Professor of Chemistry, Lee Wonjae, Asia General Representative of Yozma Group, and Professor Mordechai Sheves of Weizmann Institute of Science.

 

Kwangwoon University will provide technical advice, preparation of technology transfer plans, etc. Yozma Group Korea will prepare efficient professional investment plans, etc. The Weizmann Institute of Science will provide scientific and technological consulting and technology transfer activation advice. Through this, they plan to lay the foundation for realizing a global win-win network where industry, academia, and research can communicate.

 

President Kim Jongheon of Kwangwoon University said, “We will seek ways for alumni companies, family companies, and professor startups to achieve various industry-university cooperation.” Lee Wonjae, Asia General Manager of Yozma Group, and Professor Mordechai Sheves of Weizmann Institute of Science said, “We will come up with ways to contribute to globalization by linking investment accelerating, consulting, and technology transfer based on superior technology and experience".
