Kwangwoon University (President Yoo Jisang) held a ceremony on December 24, 2021 (Friday) 10:00 am at the Kwangwoon University Clinic Center Ⅱ and the Donghae Culture & Arts Center Plaza to mark the start of the Kwangwoon University Campus Town Project Group Donghae Culture & Arts Center Plaza Media Facade and the completion of the Kwangwoon-ro University Culture Street Project.

Since 2018, the Kwangwoon University Campus Town Project Team (Director Park Tae-won) has been carrying out a project to improve the walking environment of Kwangwoon-ro through consultation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Nowon-gu office. This project was carried out to improve the fact that Kwangwoon-ro lacks the unique cultural characteristics of the university and the local vitality has decreased due to pedestrian and environmental problems. In addition, a large media fa?ade was installed in the plaza of Kwangwoon University's Donghae Culture and Arts Center, designed to help local residents get along and contribute to regional revitalization based on Kwangwoon University's ICT technology.

The event was attended by Cho Seon-young (Chairman of Kwangwoon Foundation), Yoo Ji-sang, (President of Kwangwoon University), Oh Seung-rok (Mayor of Nowon-gu) and Ko Yong-jin, a member of the National Assembly (with the Democratic Party of Korea), sent a congratulatory message via video.
