Kwangwoon University Selected For the ‘High School Education Contribution University Support Project’ by the Ministry of Education for 9 Consecutive Years

Kwangwoon University (President Yoo Jisang) was selected for the 9th consecutive year as a support project for universities contributing to high school education organized by the Ministry of Education. The ‘High School Education Contribution University Support Project’ is a project promoted to create a high school education environment that is faithful to the curriculum by increasing the fairness and transparency of the college admissions process and operating the college admissions process reasonably.

The interim evaluation of the ‘High School Education Contribution University Support Project’ comprehensively evaluated the operating performance of 75 universities selected for the 2020 support project, strengthening fairness for college admissions, simplifying college admissions and information disclosure, and strengthening the social responsibility of the university.

Kwangwoon University has reinforced the fairness of college admissions by operating an evasion/exclusion system for all faculty members, expanding blind evaluation, participation of external members in the screening process, reinforcing procedures for handling prohibited items, and first operating an attendance online interview. In addition, in order to fulfill the social responsibility of the university, the opportunities for higher education for those subject to social consideration, such as the Special Opportunity Admission and the Regional Balanced Admission, were expanded. In addition, in order to carry out the task of reinforcing transparency in the college entrance examination, the interview evaluation process for the student department's comprehensive screening will be recorded and preserved.
