국내 최고의 창조 멘토이자 변화전도사로 불리는 이홍 경영대 교수가 이번에는 비즈니스 멘토로 나섰다. 기업들과의 오랜 경험에서 얻은 이야기를 전해주기 위해서다. 저자는 기업이 실패하는 이유의 상당 부분이 경영의 실수에서 비롯된다는 점을 간파했다. 실수가 반복되면 경영은 반드시 어려워진다. 이 말은 실수를 줄이지 않으면 기업의 미래가 결코 밝을 수 없음을 뜻한다. 실수에서 벗어나기 위한 핵심은 비즈니스의 맥을 읽는 눈에 있다고 저자는 말한다. 이 책에는 비즈니스의 맥을 놓쳐 기업을 어렵게 만든 수많은 실수 사례들이 나온다. 동시에 다시 비즈니스의 맥을 복원하여 실수를 극복한 사례들도 소개되어 있다. 그렇다고 이들 사례들을 단순 나열하지는 않았다. 이 책은 비즈니스 모델을 이용한 저자만의 고유한 논리적 틀 속에서 사례들을 녹여냈다.

 

이 홍 교수는 한국인사조직학회 편집위원장, 한국인사관리학회 부회장, 한국지식경영학회 회장을 역임하는 등 활발한 학회활동을 해온 중견학자이며, 정부혁신관리 위원회 위원장, 금융감독선진화 위원, 외교통상부 외교정보화 추진위원회 위원 등으로 정부활동에도 활발하게 참여해왔다. 또한 삼성그룹, LG그룹, 포스코, 효성그룹, 그리고 한국의 내로라하는 중견기업들과 다양한 프로젝트를 수행한 경험을 가지고 있다.

저서로는 《창조습관》, 《자기창조조직》, 《지식과 창의성, 그리고 뇌》, 《지식점프》, 《한국기업을 위한 지식경영》등이 있다.

마흔은 생의 또 다른 청춘이다! 인문학 카페에서 읽는 16통의 편『마흔 흔들리되 부러지지는 않기를』. 마흔의 나이에 가장 필요한 소통과 공감을 인문학적 시선으로 그려낸 책이다. 이 책은 마흔의 삶에 대한 깊은 성찰을 역사와 철학을 아우르는 깊이 있는 인문학적 지식으로 담아냈다. 책 전체에 걸쳐 아름다운 노랫말과 문학작품을 소개하며, 글과 상황에 오롯이 어우러지는 시어들은 저자의 영문학적 깊이가 그대로 느낄 수 있다.

 

노진서 교양학부 교수는 온고이지신. ‘과거는 곧 미래’라는 진리를 생각하며 앞서 간 사람들의 글과 행적에서 현재를 살아가는 지혜를 얻으려 그들의 세계를 연구하는 교양 저술가이다.

현재 교양학부 교수로 재직하면서 원래 전공인 영문학을 기반으로 역사와 철학을 아우르는 인문학 강의를 하고 있다.

 

최근의 저서로는, 영어권의 문화와 앵글로 색슨 민족의 역사를 영어 발달 과정에 견주어 교양서로 풀어낸 『천오백 년, 영어 글로벌화의 역사』, 교양 분야의 관심사를 다룬 『시간과 공간을 조각하다』(공저)가 있으며, 또한 저명한 언어학자인 조지 율George Yule의 저서를 번역한 『율이 들려주는 언어학 강의』가 있다.

우리나라에서 최초로 한국 아나운서의 역사를 총 정리한 역사서이자 인명사전이 출간됐다.

방송인이자 방송학자로서 한국 방송역사 사료 수집과 역사 연구에 전념해 온 김성호 미디어영상학부 교수는 3일 ‘한국 아나운서 통사’(나남)을 펴냈다.

 

이 책은 700여개 문헌 사료를 탐색해 내놓은 역저로, 1927년 경성방송국 개국부터 1969년 MBC 개국까지 총 4장에 걸쳐 지상파 방송사의 아나운서로 활동한 인물들을 흥미진진하게 기술하고 있다.

 

김성호 교수는 1970년 KBS 아나운서로 방송계에 입문해 프로듀서를 거쳐 편성, 뉴미디어, 정책, 연구, 연수, 경영 등 다양한 분야에서 일한 한국 방송사의 산 증인이다. KBS 재직 시 공영방송사 최초로 전사적자원관리(ERP) 도입 및 KBS 우리말 이름(‘한국방송’) 제정, 연봉제 도입 등을 추진했다.

 

2003년 6월부터 2007년 2월까지 KBSi(인터넷) 대표이사 사장을 지냈으며, 그 해 3월 광운대 미디어영상학부의 교수로 부임했다. 한국방송학회 부회장, 한국언론학회 이사, 한국소통학회 회장, 한국가톨릭언론인협의회 회장 등을 역임했다.

Professor Lee, also known as the greatest creative mentor and a missionary of reform, stepped into the field of business to share his experience with giant corporations. Prof. Lee learned out that most entrepreneurial failure was due to the companies’ administrative mistakes. The more the mistakes are made, the harder the business management becomes: to light the future of a company, it is essential that the leaders minimize errors and mistakes on the company’s management. Prof. Lee says in the story that the key point of minimizing the mistakes lies in reading the flow of business. The book introduces lots of cases in which companies failed to keep up with the flow of business as well as exemplary cases of overcoming the hardships, all arranged not just by a simple timely order but with Prof. Lee’s unique logical analysis using his own business models.

Prof. Lee Hong is a an eminent scholar who has worked as Editor-in-chief in Korean Academy of Management, Vice President in Korean Academy of Organization and Management, President in The Knowledge Management Society of Korea. He also has experience working for the government as a chairman of Committee on Governemnt Innovation Management, a member of Committee on Advancement of Financial Supervision and of Information Management Committee of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He has participated in numerous projects with Samsung, LG, POSCO., Hyosung and other gigantic firms.

* Forty, May It Waver Without Breaking(Idam Books) = Prof. Noh Jin-seo(College of Liberal Arts)

 

Age forty is the beginning of another juvenescence! is a book about communication and sympathy that all in their forties need. Written with humanistic view, the book captures the deep introspection of the life of 40 year-old human with the writer’s wide knowledge span from history to philosophy.

 

Throughout the book Prof. Noh introduces gorgeous lyrics and literary works with poetic words mingling in the situations, which makes the readers feel the depth of his knowledge in English literature.

 

Prof. Noh Jin-seo is a writer who lives by the quote, “review the old and learn the new.” He constantly strives to gain wisdom of life from the writings and trails of the past.

He is now working as Kwangwoon’s professor in liberal arts and is giving lectures about history and philosophy based on his major, English literature.

His recent works include <1500 Years, The Globalization of English> which compares the history of English language with the development of English-speaking countries and of the Anglo Saxons, , a book full of common interests in liberal arts and , his translation of “The Study of Language” by George Yule, a preeminent linguist.

* Korean Announcers-Past and Present(Nanam Publishing House) = Professor Kim Seong-ho(School of Communications)

 

Prof. Kim Seong-ho, a broadcaster and broadcasting researcher who devotes himself to collecting and researching the relevant historical materials, finally released “Korean Announcers-Past and Present(Nanam Publishing House)”, Korea’s first book on the history of announcers/biographical dictionary.

The book is a laborous literary book written with the background research on more than 700 historical documents and describes the announcers from the opening of Kyeongseong Broadcasting Company in 1927 to Munwha Broadcasting Corporation.

 

Prof. Kim Seong-ho began his career in broadcasting in 1970. Having worked in various fields including producing, broadcasting programming, new media, broadcasting policy making and researching, training and company management, he is a living witness of Korean broadcasting history.

While working for KBS, he piloted lots of reforms including the introduction of Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system―first among the public broadcasting companies―and annual salary system. He also played a significant role in making a Korean Name(Hankook Bangsong) for the company.

 

From June 2003 to February 2007 Prof. Kim took the post of president in KBSi(Internet) and later joined Kwangwoon University as a professor of College of Communications. He has filled various positions including vice president of Korean Association for Broadcasting&Telecommunication Studies, chairman of Korean Society for Journalism and Communication Studies, president of Korea Speech&Communication Association and chairman of the Korea Council of Catholic Journalists.
