KWU’s Industry-Academic Collaboration Foundation(IACF), led by the chief Ms. Choi Jin-ju, held the industry-academic collaboration seminar at Bucheon Industry Promotion Foundation(BIPF), June 25. The seminar was designed for the member companies of Bucheon Venture Association and the CEOs from relatively small-bore businesses, and was hosted by the KWU’s IACF along with Chairman Lee Seung-dae and President Yoon Yeong-chun from Bucheon Venture Association and BIPF. The event ended in great success with more than 50 renowned guests.

The seminar comprised invited lectures by the professors in KWU, an introduction to KWU’s IACF, and the reception ceremony. Professor Nam Hak-hyun from the Department of Chemistry delivered his speech themed, “Technical Development and Industrial Growth,” with his experience working as a CTO at I-Sens Inc. He introduced to the audience favorable ways for the industry in preparation for the future―what to expect and what to deal with. Also, Professor Kwon Tae-yong from the Department of Science and Technology Law gave a lecture titled, “Producing and Utilizing Intellectual Property Rights for Small and Medium-sized Businesses,” and showed to the audience his knowledge and understanding in intellectual property rights, how important it is to be acquainted with and how to apply it to business operation.
