광운大 환경대학원, 10개 환경전문회사와 지식기반 환경서비스 전문인력 양성사업 MOU 체결

광운대학교 환경대학원(원장 이원호 교수)은 2012년 6월 28일(목) 오전 11시 광운대학교 동해 문화예술회관에서 10개 환경컨설팅 및 환경전문회사【㈜그린폴라리스, 남앤드남인터네셔널㈜, ㈜네오에코즈, ㈜네오인비즈, ㈜동명엔터프라이즈, ㈜에이치플러스에코, ㈜에코프론티어, ㈜엠서스, ㈜청마, 코오롱워터에너지㈜】와 지식기반 환경서비스 전문인력 양성을 위한 산학협력협약(MOU)을 체결했다. 
 
이번 협약은 광운대학교 환경대학원이 지난 5월 한국환경산업기술원에서 시행한 2012년도 지식기반 환경서비스 전문인력 양성사업 기관으로 선정됨에 따라 사업의 성공적인 운영을 위해 환경 컨설팅 및 전문회사들과 환경서비스 전문인력 양성을 위한 상호협력의 필요성을 공감하고 산업체 수요 맞춤형 인재를 공급하는데 그 목적이 있다. 

광운대학교 환경대학원과 10개 환경컨설팅 및 환경전문회사는 ▲전문인력 양성과 재교육을 위한 맞춤형 교육프로그램 제공 ▲학생의 현장실무 교육을 위한 현장견학 및 인턴십 제공 ▲교육프로그램의 상호 전문인력 지원 ▲대학의 시설물 및 기자재 이용에 따른 편의 제공 등 상호 공동 관심분야에서 협력할 예정이다.

광운대 환경대학원 이원호 원장은 “이번 협약식을 통해 내부적으로는 환경, 경영, 법학 등 환경서비스와 연관된 학제 간 융합교육과정을 개발하고, 외부적으로는 환경컨설팅과 환경서비스분야의 전문인력 배출을 위해 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.

KWU’s Graduate School of Environmental Studies, led by Professor Lee Won-ho, signed the MOU to work with 10 companies specializing in environmental consultation and other eco-friendly tasks at Kwangwoon Culture and Arts Center, June 28. The members of the MOU included: Green Polaris Inc., Nam&Nam International Co. Ltd., NeoEnBiz Co., DongMyung Enterprise Co. Ltd., H-Plus Eco Ltd., Eco Frontier Inc, Emsus Co. Ltd, Cheongma Inc., Kolon Water and Energy Co. Ltd.

KWU’s Graduate School of Environmental Studies was selected as a training institute for knowledge-based environmental service experts by Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute last May. For the successful implementation of the project, the whole environmental industry has been striving to cooperate to nurture specialists in the related field. The agreement is the outgrowth of this cooperation, and thus sets its purpose on cultivating and providing the manpower that meets the current demands of the market.

By the MOU, the graduate school and the 10 companies will be responsible for the following duties:

▲ Providing education programs customized to cultivate and re-educate the experts

▲ Providing various opportunities for the students in the field including educational visits and internships

▲ Mutual support of manpower on operating the education programs
▲ Providing the university’s facilities and apparatuses when needed to fulfill the members’ common interests

Regarding the MOU, Professor Lee Won-ho, head of the graduate school, said, “The agreement will help the school system develop the collective curriculum in environmental, legal and business studies on the inside, and turn out to be successful in nurturing specialists in environmental consulting and other eco-related services on the outside.”
