Seoul Startup Didimteo, Industry-Academic Networking and Northeast Startup Support Forum Held

The Seoul Startup Didimteo which is being commissioned by the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation held a forum on December 17, Friday, under the theme of “Digital Transformation Era, Current State of Digital Innovation and Response Plan.”

 

The event was held as an offline/online hybrid forum in consideration of the COVID-19 situation. The first part of industry-academic forum was held under the theme of “Digital Transformation Era, Industry-Academic Cooperation Ecosystem Creation Plan” to prepare for digital issues in the post COVID era. In the second part, a start-up talk concert was held to listen to the voices of tenant companies related to Edutech, Seoul Startup Didimteo, to provide a venue for communication to promote industry-academic symbiosis and collaborative ecosystem.

 

In the welcoming speech, Yoo Jisang, President of Kwangwoon University, said, “In the wake the pandemic era, it is necessary to think about digital transformation in many fields. There are still many vague concerns about what to prepare for the rapid change, but a ‘more flexible and agile response” is not a choice to overcome the changed environment.”

On the other hand, Kim Hak-yong, director of the IoT Strategic Research Institute, and Park Chul-hwan, head of the Seoul Start-up Didimteo and head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Kwangwoon University, Professor Kim Tae-kyung of Kwangwoon University, Professor Han Tae-in of Open Cyber University, Professor Lee Ji-eun of Hanyang Cyber University, and Lee Kwang-se, a standing director of the Korea Edu-Tech Industry Association, participated as the first-part panel debaters. In the second part of the start-up forum, Lee Tae-hyung, CEO of Genius (Co., Ltd.), a startup company related to EduTech, Park In-hye, CEO of Rudy Bell, Yoon Jung-ho, CEO of Hi Local, and Sohn Byung-jin, CEO of Anima Kanji, participated in predicting rapidly changing industrial trends and future changes and suggested developmental directions through discussions on industrial and start-up ecosystems.

 

Park Chul-hwan, head of the Seoul Startup Didimteo and head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Kwangwoon University, said, "Starting from this forum, we will try to check the rapidly changing industrial-academic trend and create a continuous discourse with various experts. We will make various opinions shared this time to secure competitiveness through digital technology in the creation of an industry-academic cooperation and start-up ecosystem."
