K-MOOC is a service that provides online excellent courses at higher institutions to meet the growing demand for lifelong education in higher education and to promote innovation in teaching-learning at universities. Since 2018, Kwangwoon University’s course has been selected for four consecutive years, starting with the lecture of “History of Mathematics”, “Humanities and Sociology of the World City Seoul.”

In the 2021 public offering project, 10 broadcasters, 13 bundles, and 94 individual lectures were received in the selection of 2 broadcasters, 13 bundles and 45 individual courses. In particular, the first newly established new industry field is one of the selection fields that attracted attention to the development of personal competency necessary for the change of the industrial paradigm by developing a course that can improve the latest job skills according to the rapid technological development.

Professor Chung Donghun’s '4th Industrial Revolution, Being Master' means that we understand the characteristics of the 4th industrial revolution era through space, technology, and contents that fill the space, and indirectly through robots and realistic media. It consists of lectures where you can experience those. In particular, in order to revitalize the interaction between learners, a variety of learning methods that introduce a peer-review system for discussion/discussion are introduced to highlight the difference from other courses.

Kwangwoon MOOC Center Director Yoon Yisuk said, “K-MOOC provides equal opportunities for learning, enables self-directed learning and cooperated learning on a global scale. It is meaningful in a sense that it can provide future learners’ customized learning for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.“ He added,”K-MOOC will continue to make active efforts to expand various contents and educational opportunities.”

Meanwhile, the 2021 Korean Online Open Lecture (K-MOOC) selected this year can be taken from the second half of this year (scheduled) through its official website (www.kmooc.kr).
