Prof. Chung Donghun (Department of Media Communication) publishes a new book, “Digital Transformation in Content Businesses

"Digital Transformation in Content Businesses” is the second book in the “Digital Transformation” series following “Digital Transformation in Media Businesses” published last year, it deals with the digital transformation created by technology in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. This book was created to help MZ generation achieve their dreams by introducing examples of digital transformation currently underway in various fields.

Following the first topic, media, the second book deals with various media and contents that we will experience in the 5G era. The Korean title was called 'virtual reality' to get familiar with the MZ generation, but in fact, the terms immersive media, immersive content, and extended reality will be more accurate. Realistic media literally refers to any media that makes you feel real. And the content delivered through these media is called immersive content. Realistic media has always existed, but advances in digital technology are getting the most attention recently because they can make fakes that look more real than they are. In order to convey this change and the flow of change well, there is a QR code that allows you to view YouTube videos so that you can understand while reading the text by watching YouTube.
