Fall 2020 Mentoring Program

Purpose of this Mentoring program is to help the new students(foreign) to get used to the school quickly, connect with other students and experience new culture. I hope this program will help your stay in Korea.

 

1. Total students: 100 Korean and International students

 

2. Application period: 2020/8/1(Sat) ~ 2020/08/28(Fri)

  

3. Activity period: 2020/8/7(Mon) ~ 2020/12/11(Fri) (2020 fall semester) 14 weeks

 

4. Activities

A. Mentoring school life, including use of on-campus facilities

B. Mentoring Seoul Life by using public transportation such as subways and buses, using government offices, opening bank accounts, etc.  

C. Understanding each other's cultures and strengthening communication

D. Other activities for the stable settlement of students studying abroad.

 

5. Eligibility

A. Mentors are only   available to students who have enrolled for more than one semester at Kwangwoon University.

B. (Students who have been canceled from the 2020 spring semester mentoring program will be restricted)

 

6. Activity compliance (Mentor & Mentee Report)

A. One or more reports required in 2 weeks (at least 2 hours of basic time), at least 20 hours a semester, 10 reports

      E.g.: 3 reports not to be submitted in the 3rd week You need to submit at least 1 or 2 reports every 2 weeks

B. Submit more than   10mentor reports in total

C. One mentee report (at any time during the semester) 

 

7. Activity support

A. Activity support payment

B. Issuance of activity certificates

C. Additional points are granted when applying for exchange student

Supported when all activity compliance is fulfilled

 

8. Selection method and schedule

A. Selection method: Examination of documents after application

B. Selection schedule

       - Application period: 2020/8/1(Sat) ~ 2020/08/28(Fri)

       - Selected students’ announcement: 2020/9/1(Mon)

       - Orientation: 2020/9/4(Fri) 12:00~1:30PM, the location will be announced at a later date (orientation is required to attend)
