The defining goal of the Graduate School of Information and Social Welfare is to respond actively to the information-based society and to meet the needs for social welfare. The school runs the Administrative Management Department (administrative management major), Criminology Department (Criminology major: drug-related crime, crime inspection, crime psychology), Social Welfare Department (social welfare major, juvenile guidance and welfare major), Psycho Therapy Department (psycho therapy major, psycho strategy major). The program also provides opportunities to acquire various certificates. Many graduates find employment in social welfare centers, youth training centers, and public area, while others teach at universities or pursue academic career in the doctoral program.
